Direction / Turnkey Production View "Transforming Mobile Devices" I setup CPF foremost as a production company complete with a hefty gear package and crew to provide turnkey services to companies and agencies. I pride myself on attention to detail, an eye for realism, and staying current in both cinematography and editing trends. I believe the success of a production relies on the director's ability to communicate the vision to cast and crew effectively to achieve the vision, and also make sure the client is knowledgeable on every aspect of the production as it progresses. My award winning vision and knowledge, efficient communication, and genuine leadership is the recipe for success in today's world of production. _______________________________________________________ Cinematography (freelance)* View the trailer for "The Key" I truly believe that every angle, camera movement, lighting scenerio, and color palette inflicts an emotional response, and the art of combining those shots will affect the audience's emotion in a way that better tells the story. These are basically his methods for preparing to shoot a film: 1) understand how the director wants the story to be told emotionally, 2) tech scout locations and discuss angles, lighting, etc according to #1, 3) create a storyboard planning the shots and lighting, 4) make sure the crew understands the setups and overall look using the storyboards, overhead diagrams, and photographs, and 5) shoot in a wide latitude ideal for post color grading per the director's vision.
Editing (freelance)* View my Color Grading Demo. Usually I like to create the first cut of a production alone, then bring in the director to make changes and eventually create the final cut. My typical method is as follows: 1) Make backups of files and footage, 2) organize the files by inputting metadata from the shot logs, 3) finalize the edit, 4) finalize the sound design, 5) finalize the color.
